Technonix (“we”, “us”) runs the website https://technonix.in. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and what choices you have.
What personal data we collect and why
Contact and enquiry forms
When you send us a message or request a quotation, we collect the details you enter in the form, such as your name, email address, phone number and message. We use this only to reply to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to provide our services. Form submissions are delivered to us by email and may also be stored in our website database.
Newsletter / “Stay in touch” sign-up
If you enter your email address in the sign-up form, we use it to send you occasional updates. You can ask us to remove your address at any time.
Comments
When you leave a comment, we collect the data shown in the comment form, plus your IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam. An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it; Gravatar’s privacy policy is at https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, it and your profile picture are visible to the public.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (via Google Site Kit) to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are visited and how people arrive here. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your IP address, device and browser type, and pages viewed. Google’s privacy policy is at https://policies.google.com/privacy, and you can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Media
If you upload images to the website, avoid including embedded location data (EXIF GPS), since visitors can download and extract it.
Cookies
If you leave a comment, you can opt in to saving your name, email and website in cookies so you don’t have to re-enter them; these last one year. Analytics cookies are set by Google Analytics as described above. Visiting the login page sets a temporary cookie to check that your browser accepts cookies, and logging in sets cookies that remember your session (two days, or two weeks with “Remember Me”). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Embedded content from other websites
Pages on this site may include embedded content such as videos or images. Embedded content behaves as if you had visited the other website directly, and that site may collect data about you, use cookies and track your interaction with it.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site: Google (analytics), Automattic (Akismet spam filtering and Gravatar) and our web hosting provider. We may also disclose data if required by law.
How long we keep your data
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond to you and for reasonable business records. Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so follow-up comments can be recognized. Sign-up email addresses are kept until you ask to be removed.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw any consent you have given. This does not include data we must keep for legal, administrative or security reasons. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked by Akismet, an automated spam detection service. Analytics data is processed by Google, which may store it on servers outside India.
How we protect your data
The site is served over HTTPS, and access to the site’s administration area is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
